A few of us will be up at Canaan, doing some track work in the Big Burn Paddock for some long overdue track work on the Main Loop.

Tuesday 22nd December at Kaiteriteri bike park. Shuttles with the club bike rack and Barbi at The beach after. The plan is to leave from the I site in Takaka at 5pm.

Sunday 1st November - "HELL" DIG and RIDE
THIS SUNDAY... Let's get it open ! " Hell is our newest bit of track, it is a 150 metre section of track that links " The Odyssey" into "One Klick". It just needs some roots removing and a bit of vegetation clearing, as well as a bit of surface attention.

The Golden Bay MTB Club's NBS Milk and Honey race is a special event that incorporates the two disciplines of road biking and mountain biking, combining them into one event. It includes a road climb of 790 metres up the Takaka Hill, and continues down the Rameka Track, one of NZ’s classic downhill single track mountain bike
NEW THIS YEAR... pre Register the night before the race, and get a Pasta meal thrown in for good measure. Say hello to other competitors and take away some of those pre race nerves!

come and Help get the Roller Coaster into shape for the Milk and Honey.
6 Hour Relay at Rabbit Island. The format will be the same as always - 6hrs of fun racing that you can do as a solo rider, or as a relay in teams of two or four.

A combination of untimed ascents (liasion or transition) and timed descents (stage). Usually 4 or more timed stages that may have uphill sections which require pedalling.
Also means to ride slowly uphill with your mates, spouting how unfit/hungover/injured you are and then put the hammer down and burn them off on timed stages, usually followed by telling aforementioned mates how you blew the run and could have been so much faster if a) you hadn't caught rider in front of you b) you hadn't flatted or c) bike mechanic had set up your suspension correctlyThe inaugural GBMTB Club Rameka Enduro will be on Sunday 7 June WET or FINE. Meet at Rameka Creek Rd Totara Tree at 10 am. First transition is ride up Rameka Creek Rd to 1km up Rameka Track that will take 1.5hrs for most. Racing will commence once everyone has arrived. Riders will leave at 30s intervals. No prizes or trophies, maybe a few spot prizes if we can get it sorted. Results will be posted to aid in bragging rights.

Please come and help out on a working bee on the Pack Track and Lower Rameka.. We would like to trim back the gorse and grass on the lower Rameka and over hanging vegetation on the Pack Track.
